Growth is a 2009 American horror film, written and directed by Gabriel Cowan. In 1989, a parasite leading to a break through in human evolution on Cuttyhunk Island, but it resulted in three quarters of the island dying. Now twenty years later, Jamie Akerman, who fled the original outbreak, rediscovers a new parasite threatening the island, while trying to escape dangerous locals.
The film currently has no distribution company in the United States, but has been distributed by Free Dolphin Entertainment in France, SP Films in Argentina, and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment for Australia.
