Gulshan-e-Iqbal (Urdu: گلشن اقبال ) is a large residential and commercial neighbourhood of Gulshan Town in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan.[1] The name "Gulshan-e-Iqbal" means "the garden of Iqbal", referring to the national poet of Pakistan, Muhammad Iqbal.
The neighbourhood is home to several ethnic groups including: Urdu speakers, Punjabis, Sindhis, Kashmiris, Seraikis, Pakhtuns, Balochs, Memons, Bohras, Ismailis. Over 99% of the population is Muslim.
There are also parks named Gulshan-e-Iqbal in Lahore, Sialkot and Gujranwala.
