HTL Buses is the trading name of Huyton Travel Ltd, a bus operating company based in Huyton in Merseyside, England.[1] The company originated as Huyton Taxis Ltd, assuming its present title in 1990. Having previously operated minibuses, it has expanded into local bus service work since the mid 2000s.

Contents

Fleet

About half of the fleet still consists of minibuses with 16 or fewer seats, including Mercedes-Benz Sprinters and Renault Masters, and also including some non-PCV minibuses. The fleet of larger vehicles has been gradually built up since 2003, and now comprises around 35 mainly midi-sized single-deckers, the greater proportion being low-floor Dennis Darts with a variety of bodywork, Plaxton Pointer being the most common.

Livery

Larger vehicles, and some minibuses, are painted green with yellow lettering. Some minibuses are in Merseytravel's yellow and white "Joblink" colours; others are plain white.

Operations

The company operates three commercial services in Liverpool and Knowsley.[2][3][4] However, the majority of its local service work consists of tendered services, under contract to Merseytravel, the Integrated Passenger Transport Executive and Executive (ITA) for Merseyside.
