Location of Hashima District in Gifu Prefecture

Hashima (羽島郡; -gun) is a district located in Gifu, Japan.

As of 2006 population data but with the decrease due to the January 1, 2006 merger of Yanaizu, the district has an estimated population of 45,496 and a density of 2,492 persons per km². The total area is 18.26 km².

Towns and villages

Mergers

  • On November 1, 2004 the town of Kawashima merged into the expanded city of Kakamigahara.
  • On January 1, 2006 the town of Yanaizu merged into the expanded capital city of Gifu Prefecture, Gifu.
