Kishimoto signed with Giza after she participated in the "Giza studio presents DIG STAR audition," in October of 2002. She debuted on her birthday in 2003 (when she turned 16 years old), with the release of the single, "MeiQ!?-Meikyū-MAKE YOU-" (迷Q!?-迷宮-MAKE YOU-).
She continued to release music from then until early 2007,when the single "See you Darling" was released on February 28. The single did not perform well on the Oricon 100 chart, only reaching number 84 at its peak. Nothing new was heard from Hayami for quite some time, until in early 2008 her management announced that she would retire from music. She officially stopped all activities as an artist on the 24 April, 2008. Her official blog was also not updated from this day on. Hayami now works in the fashion industry.
Several of her singles were used in anime series. "MeiQ!?-Meikyū-MAKE YOU-" (迷Q!?-迷宮-MAKE YOU-) was used in a TBS anime as the opening theme. Mienai Story (みえないストーリー) was used as the 3rd ending theme and Kaze ni Mukai Aruku you ni (風に向かい歩くように)as the fourth ending theme for the anime Detective School Q (探偵学園Q Tantei Gakuen Q).
