Henderson Field (IATA: MDYICAO: PMDY) is a public airport located on Sand Island in Midway Atoll, an unincorporated territory of the United States. In the past, the airport was used as an emergency diversion point for ETOPS operations, but was closed on Nov 22, 2004. While it was in operation, Boeing subsidized the field.
