"High Octane" is the seventh episode in the fifth season of the American crime drama CSI: Miami. The episode first aired on November 6, 2007.
Nineteen-year-old Dexter Gilman is killed by decapitation while doing a stunt during a stunt car show. The audience rush to the body but everyone freaks out and run away after seeing the headless body. Horatio and the CSIs believe it was more than an accident. Eric and Ryan later find out that the car had been raised using hydrolics and that it was triggered by a cellphone call. Further investigation and interrogation lead to the discovery of juvenile delinquents involved in autotheft amongst other crimes. The investigations also unexpectedly lead the team to uncover another crime: illegal oil tapping. The airport's jet fuel company had reported that 10,000 gallons of fuel were missing. After Natalia and Calleigh run DNA samples from the oil tap, Horatio suspects that one of the teenagers at the stunt show could be involved.
