Himachal Pradesh University (established 1970) is a public university in Shimla, India. The suburban campus in Summerhill hosts 28 teaching departments focusing on, among other subjects, Bhoti (a Tibetan language), ayurveda, and yoga. Half of the 220,000 students enrolled in the university and its more than 80 affiliated colleges are women.^[1]
