HoopWorld is a video game developed for release in This Winter (Q4 2009 ~ Q1 2010) for exclusive on WiiWare. It is a mixture of Arch Rivals, NBA Jam!, and Powerstone. HoopWorld is an over-the-top, three-on-three multiplayer arcade sports game that utilizes power-up gameplay, basketball and Kung-fu to create a unique and competitive experience.
HoopWorld was first announced in 2005, release on XBLA in early 2006. In May 2006, the game was postponed due to quality and gameplay concerns. In autumn of 2006, Streamline Studios announced engineering support from Spanish developer and publisher Virtual Toys. In 2008, the developers decided to release. HoopWorld was later announced as a WiiWare title slated for release in This Winter. (Q4 2009 ~ Q1 2010)
