Hunter Gomez (born December 20, 1991 in Mesa, Arizona) is an American actor. He is probably most widely recognized for his work in films and guest appearances in American television. Although he is only 18, he has been active in charity and politics in his home state of Arizona for many years.

Career

Since beginning his career in the entertainment business in 2003 at the age of 12, Gomez has worked directly with some of the biggest names in Hollywood, including Jon Voight, Christopher Plummer, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Jim Belushi, . He has also worked with Robert Picardo, Jane Sibbett, Matt McCoy and Seth MacFarlane. He has enjoyed working with Hollywood's younger set as well through guest-starring roles in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody with the Sprouse twins and Ned's Declassified's Devon Werkheiser.

Aside from Nicolas Cage, Gomez has also played the younger versions of many other big celebrities such as Justin Timberlake, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Robert Picardo, Luke Wilson, Mike Farrell and Goose Gossage in both films and on television. John Henson having once remarked on television that Gomez reminded him of a "young DeNiro."

Gomez is currently living in Arizona, while commuting to California on a regular basis to work. His current resume and projects can be found at: [1]

Charity work

Gomez is becoming as well known for his charity work as he is for his acting. He donates some of every check to charity and spends countless hours doing charity work for many great causes. In 2006 he started a charity food drive called The Gomez Family Food Drive with his siblings (he has four, three sisters and a brother) Hunter put up $5,000 of his own money to offer as thank you donations to the groups that brought in the most cans. [2] The food drive raised over 100,000 cans for the less fortunate. He supports many children's charities and even recently used the money from various television appearances such as on The Suite Life to sponsor a child through Compassion. Gomez has said that while he might not have the kind of money that big stars have he will use the money he does have and his time to help anyone.

He has also been involved in politics both on a local and national level. In one of his first press conferences at the Capitol with Rick Schroder, Hunter Gomez spoke about the film industry in hopes of getting a bill passed to offer incentives to film makers.

Gomez has also donated thousands and appeared at fundraising events for Senator John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign. He has read letters to Senator McCain at a fundraising dinner. These letters had been sent to Gomez from young military personnel with hopes that he could share them with his hometown senator from Arizona. These letters from the young service men thanked Senator McCain for his support of the troops and shared their support for the senator. Holding these letters from the servicemen to read at the dinner, the young actor was seated at the head of the table between Senator and Mrs. McCain. Senator McCain said he was very touched, humbled and honored by what the letters said and thanked Gomez for sharing them with him.

His first notable act of kindness came at the age of 4 when he gave his own bed away (with his parents permission) to a child that had been living in a car. The Gomez family had adopted the family and Hunter wanted to do his part.
