Hustler TV is a is a Canadian English language category 2 digital cable specialty channel. It is a pay-TV adult entertainment television channel consisting of explicit adult material, primarily pornographic films. The channel's name is licensed from the American men's magazine Hustler. The channel is owned by Ten Broadcasting, a company owned by Stuart Duncan (80.01%) and LFP Video Inc. (19.99%).
Licensed by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) in November 2000 as "TEN - Channel 1", the channel launched in early July 2003 on Shaw Direct as "Hustler TV". It was Canada's first 24 hour subscription specialty service devoted to explicit adult content. Since that time several other similar channels have launched including Red Hot TV which is also owned by Ten Broadcasting and several other channels by various other owners. Although before its launch, Playboy TV (USA) was readily available across Canada.
