I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer is a horror film released straight to DVD on August 15, 2006 as the direct-to-video sequel to 1998's I Still Know What You Did Last Summer and I Know What You Did Last Summer and the third installment in the series. It was filmed in Park City, Utah. Despite the fact the title implies the movie is a continuation of the storyline, it does not have any of the cast returning from the first two movies.

Plot

After a skateboard stunt made out to look like a return of the fisherman, P.J Davis is killed and to cover up what happened, best friends Amber Williams, her friends Zoe and Roger, and her boyfriend Colby Patterson cover up the evidence by burning it.

A year passes and the group haven't heard anything from each other. Amber returns to the town and goes to a small party and finds that her boyfriend Colby had in fact not left town and didn't tell her. An angered Amber leaves the party and goes up to the mountains overlooking the town. One of the officers who witnessed the accident, Deputy Haffner finds Amber up there alone and tells her she better head off home. She does so. Later that night Amber awakens to a sound downstairs. She goes down to investigate but finds nothing. Her phone begins to ring. She answers a text reading "I know what you did last summer", along with forty-nine duplicate messages. She drives to Zoe's shack and finds her and her band rehearsing for a concert in a few days. An angered Zoe rushes to the backroom as Amber follows. Zoe complains to Amber that she didn't call or even respond to the flyers for the concert. Amber apologizes and Zoe allows her to sleep there for the night. The next day Amber and Zoe go to find Roger and find him fixing gondolas. They inform him someone knows what happened. He grows angry and tells them to leave. Zoe goes to find Colby working as a lifeguard at a public pool. He dismisses her and tells her to leave. After that he goes back to his post and finds 'I know what you did last summer' written in the ground. Later that night, a drunken Roger attempts suicide by pulling out the hook he used during the prank and pulled out of the fire.

After slightly cutting himself he hears a sound from the hall. He goes outside yelling 'hello?' with someone responding in a very dark tone "Hello!" The fisherman jumps out wielding his hook. Roger eludes him, but comes to a corner where the fisherman grabs him and throws him on a table and holds him down while he slits a helpless Roger's throat and leaves him to bleed. Colby goes to Amber and Zoe telling them that he believes them. They go to warn Roger again but find him dead along with a suicide note and the hook. Deputy Haffner strangely shows up wielding his gun at them accusing them of the murder. A sobbing Zoe hands him the note. He believes them and calls a coroner and the police. After their statement they are released and go back to Amber's house and find in her room pictures of them from the highschool yearbook sliced up and stuck to the wall reading "SOON". They all stay at Zoe's place again and find Lance outside and shows them a message engraved on his motorbike. They all team up and don't take an eye off one another. Colby goes to the pools to do some laps after his late shift. He is attacked by the fisherman when he is hooked in the ankle but not completely crippling him. He makes it out alive but the fisherman appears to have disappeared, just vanished.

The night Zoe's concert arrives and Amber and Lance stick together while Colby, who is now on crutches, sneaks off to get drunk. The fisherman jumps out and swings the hook at Colby but misses. Colby grabs a large butcher knife and stabs the fisherman in the back but appears to be completely unharmed. Colby goes through several doors and looks back in the window but the fisherman is already there and breaks through the window and hooks Colby in the mouth and pulls him through. Amber and Lance go back and congratulate Zoe but are attacked by the fisherman. Zoe breaks up from them and is stabbed in the crotch. Amber and Lance slowly make there way up to the balcony and find Zoe's corpse. P.J's dad, the sheriff comes in and finds Amber covered in blood. He immediately assumes they did the murders and is soon pulled into the darkness and hooked to death. Amber and Lance run outside and find Deputy Haffner aiming a shotgun at them He arrests them and escorts them to the back of his jeep. In the back lies Zoe's body. Amber begins screaming at him telling him he did it. The fisherman jumps out and makes his way towards Haffner. Haffner fires several times but the fisherman doesn't budge and impales Haffner in the stomach and lifts him up in the air and impales him on a forklift. Amber and Lance get into the car and start it up and hit the fisherman but the fisherman immediately gets up and takes his mask off revealing a decomposed face of Ben Willis, the man who brutally murdered the kids who accidentally ran him over 10 summers ago. He then immediately disappears into thin air. Amber and Lance go to get help but are again attacked by Willis and are chased into a warehouse. They make it out and lure Willis into a thresher, supposedly killing him.

A year later Amber is driving across the desert talking to Lance as a tire blows out. She stops in the middle of no-where and waits while she talks to Lance. She stands in the middle of the road looking around as the camera cyles around her, and the audience sees Ben Willis raising his hook before the scene blacks out to Amber's scream, followed by the sound of blood splashing.
