IMG Artists LLC is a top universal performing arts management corporation that was acquired by International Management Group (IMG) in 1984. Chairman and CEO of IMG, Mark McCormack, bought out Hamlen/Landau, a small, New York based artist-management music agency, founded by Charles Hamlen and Edna Landau in 1979.

In September 2003, Barrett Wissman, an entrepreneur and former concert pianist, purchased IMG Artists from IMG parent Co. and turned it into one of the leading international arts management group with the most diverse lines of business. IMG Artists capabilities include the management and touring of the finest musicians, dance companies, orchestras, and attractions, as well as consulting and advisory work for independent clients, arts institutions, concert halls, and culturally engaged corporations. Corporate offices for IMG Artists LLC are located in London, Paris, Lucca, Singapore, New York, and Los Angeles.

IMG Artists’ list of more than 200 international clients include Itzhak Perlman, Hilary Hahn, Joshua Bell, Julia Fischer, Julian Lloyd Webber, Renée Fleming, Audra McDonald, Thomas Hampson, James Galway, KODO, Evgeny Kissin, Murray Perahia, Antonio Pappano, Vladimir Jurowski, Franz Welser-Möst, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic with Yuri Temirkanov, the Oslo Philharmonic with Andre Previn, the Emerson String Quartet, Bill T. Jones and Pilobolus.

IMG Artists has become recognized as an initiator and creator of a major range of arts projects which range from the creation of the new Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra in Kuala Lumpur, to the making of television documentaries such as the “Art of Conducting,” to the presentation of the world famous Spanish Riding School of Vienna.

IMG Artists also owns and manages the Sun Festivals - a global life-style festival brand. The Sun Festival is celebrated annually in Cortona, Tuscany (Italy) and the Napa Valley, California (USA). The Singapore Sun Festival is the third and only Asian chapter the festival.

The Singapore Sun Festival which was inaugurated by IMG Artists in October 2007 is an annual multi-arts and integrated lifestyle Festival that celebrates the ‘Art of Living Well’ through the 7 disciplines of Music, Visual Art, Literature, Film, Wine, Food and Wellness.

The Festival is a global life-style brand owned by the global arts management group, IMG Artists. The Singapore Sun Festival is the 3rd installment and exclusive Asian continental home of this leading global festival which is already celebrated annually in Cortona, Tuscany (Italy) and the Napa Valley, California (USA).

After two years Singapore is already the biggest in numbers of events and attendances of the three international festivals. The inaugural Singapore Sun Festival exposed both Singapore citizens and foreign visitors to many superb, high-quality and prestigious events. In October 2008, the Singapore Sun Festival returned for its second year with an even more exciting schedule featuring over 250 international and regional artists in over 90 events in 10 days, ranging from performances by the best artists from around the world such as Geoffrey Rush, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Vienna Boys Choir, Sergio Mendes, Murray Perahia, Peter Cincotti, Jesse Cook and Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra to exclusive wine sessions and culinary classes with personalities like the renowned Charlie Trotter and Luke Mangan. Oil paintings exhibition by abstract German-born artist, Sibylle Szaggars, literature talks, film screenings and wellness sessions with yoga and tai chi experts all formed part of the impressive programme. The prestigious Singapore Wine Auction also returned for the 2008 Festival following on from the successful Wine Auction held as part of the Festival in 2007 with special guest performer KD Lang. The Wine Auction has today raised a total of almost S$1.6 million for charity. In 2008 guests of the auction enjoyed a private performance by one of the world’s top sopranos, Kiri Te Kanawa.

The Singapore Sun Festival 2008 built upon the reputation established for the Festival in its inaugural year and has now firmly established the Festival as Singapore’s leading annual arts and life-style festival. This year the Singapore will take place on the 3-12th of October and the official programme will be launched in early July 2009.
