The color iceberg is displayed at right. Although an iceberg is white, the color iceberg is a pale tint of blue which is a representation of the color of an iceberg when the bluish colors of the sky and sea are reflected off of it.
The first recorded use of iceberg as a color name in
English was in the year 1921. [2] The
color name came into use after the publicity surrounding the sinking of the Titanic in 1912.
