  1. "Watercolour"
    Released: 3rd May 2010

Immersion is the 3rd studio album from the Australian drum and bass band Pendulum. The album was announced in early 2009, with Pendulum confirming tracks such as "Ransom", "Watercolour" and "Salt in the Wounds" to appear on the album, with the album name confirmed in December 2009. [2] The album is to be released the 24th May 2010, followed by a UK tour of the album. In January 2010 Pendulum hosted the Ear Storm event at Matter in London in which many top DJs performed sets of their own with Pendulum being the headliners. An album sampler can be seen here: [1]

In an interview with Q Magazine Rob Swire stated that the album was intended to include three collaborations. "Self versus Self" is to feature In Flames, a melodic death metal group who Swire has been a fan of for some time, an as-yet unknown female singer described as "big in America" and The Prodigy. This final collaboration is regarded as an end to what the magazine called "perceived animosity" between the two acts. Swire maintains that The Prodigy simply "realised they've got nothing to worry about". "Rise of the Vulture" will also see the studio début of The Verse, Pendulum's live MC, doing vocals.

"Salt in the Wounds" was Zane Lowe's Hottest Record In The World on BBC Radio 1 on 25th January 2010. It was, however, stated that it was a street-level release, and it was not an official single. On Zane Lowe's show, it was also announced that the first single from the album would be "Watercolour". Then, Zane Lowe played "Watercolour" on his BBC Radio 1 broadcast on 8th March 2010 at 7:30pm GMT. It was then announced that Pendulum would release the single "Watercolour" on 3rd May 2010. Track info

Lyrics and vocals for many of the tracks have been completed, as posted on Rob Swire's Twitter feed, including "The Island", "Under the Waves", "Rise of the Vulture" and "COTD".

Rise of the Vulture is the studio debut of Pendulum's MC, Ben Mount AKA The Verse. The track was first previewed at their Earstorm DJ set at Matter, London but an official release or a demo has yet to be released. The lyrics and vocal effects for this track have recently been edited and/or added, as cited on Rob Swire's Twitter page on the 16th March.

Watercolour is set to be the first single from Immersion, with a May 3rd release date. A full version and single edit were both recently played on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show, with the single version becoming his new Hottest Record In The World. Demos of the track were first played at the Earstorm DJ set, and the lyrics have been changed since then.
