Imogen Poots (born May 12, 1989) is an English actress, best-known for playing "Tammy" in the 2007 film 28 Weeks Later.[1][2]

Background

Poots was born in London, England to Trevor (a TV producer) and Fiona Poots. She attended Bute House School for Girls, Queen's Gate School for Girls and London's Latymer Upper School, where she attained 3 A grades at A-Level.

She is a member of the YoungBlood Theatre Company and model for Select Model Management.[3]

Career

Her first movie credit was as Young Valerie in the 2006 film V for Vendetta. She has also appeared in a 2004 episode of Casualty, in Matt Day's short film Wish and in the 2007 TV movie Miss Austen Regrets.[4]

She has appeared in such films as Cracks (directed by Jordan Scott from the novel by Sheila Kohler) and two American productions, Waking Madison and Solitary Man.

She is scheduled to star in Cordelia (an original story in which she plays the character of the same name from King Lear) as well as in a screen adaptation of Enda Walsh's play, Chatroom. and a cinema remake of the controversial TV series "a Bouquet of Barbed Wire".
