India Joy Eisley (born October 29, 1993) is an American teen actress best known for playing Ashley Juergens in the ABC Family teen drama The Secret Life of the American Teenager.

Life and career

Eisley was born in California, to musician David Glen Eisley (90210, Dirty White Boy) and actress Olivia Hussey (Romeo and Juliet)

Eisley and her mother appeared in the movie Headspace (2005) together. After other small roles at a very young age in various independent films shot primarily in Europe, Eisley gained a major role during the summer of 2008 with The Secret Life of the American Teenager for the ABC Family Network.

In The Secret Life of the American Teenager, India plays Ashley Juergens, the fourteen-year-old sister of teen mother Amy Juergens. Ashley has a sort of dry humor and rebellious personality in the Juergen household, but is quite smart and seems to avoid the drama that goes on.
