Production

Screenwriter, Mahdi Ahmed came across the story written by Mohamed Hassaan while judging the National Short Story Writing Competition 2007 for under 16 category and immediately felt that the story had the potential to be made in to a film. However, developing the story in to a film began a year later when Mahdi met with promising director, Ravee Faroog and budding actor, Abdulla Muaz. They were completely blown away with the unique concept of the whole story taking place at one place, at one time and has only two characters.

Due to the concept being non-commercial, Mahdi, Ravee and Muaz decided to produce the film themselves. Later, Muaz gave up producing duties and Director of Photography, Hussain Munavvar stepped in to become the third producer.

On 27 February 2009, story rights were bought from Mohamed Hassaan. Mahdi finished the screenplay with in twelve days.

Pre-production began in 21 March 2009. A special hut was constructed in K. Gulhi.

On 17 May 2009, production began in K. Gulhi. Due to unforeseen circumstances, production which was originally scheduled for five days extended for fifteen days. Production was wrapped on 31 May 2009.
