The International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF or Fédération Internationale des Archives du Film) was founded in Paris in 1938 by the British Film Institute, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Cinémathèque Française and the Reichsfilmarchiv in Berlin.

The Federation brings together film archives from across the world, whose purpose it is to ensure the preservation of films as a cultural heritage and as historical documents. It has grown from the four founding members to over 120 archival organisations in over 65 countries.
