Girls' Generation 1st Asia Tour: Into the New World is the first concert tour by South Korean girl group Girls' Generation. Planned to be a tour across Asia, they have only scheduled shows in Korea, although the group plans to have shows in other countries in the future.[1]

History

The tour was announced by SM Entertainment in November 2009.[2] The tickets for the tour went on sale on November 19[2], and they were sold out in 3 minutes.[3]

The tour initially consisted of two Korean shows on December 19 and 20, 2009.[4] It was later announced that the group would have two "Encore" shows for February 27th and 28th, 2010.[5] The Encore will be really different from their concert last December.[6]
