Isabella of Braganza (1414–1476), also known as Isabella of Barcelos (her father was originally the 8th Count of Barcelos). She was the daughter of Afonso, 1st Duke of Braganza and Beatriz Pereira Alvim, she married Infante João, Lord of Reguengos de Monsaraz, her half-uncle, son of John I of Portugal.

Isabella was the grandmother of both Manuel I of Portugal and Isabella I of Castile. Through her granddaughter, Isabella is the great-great-grandmother of Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor and Ferdinand I, Holy Roman Emperor. Isabella is also the great-grandmother of Catherine of Aragon and therefore is the great-great-grandmother of Mary I of England. Her daughter, Beatriz, was the mother of Leonor of Viseu, who married John II of Portugal in January 1471. Beatriz had another daughter, Isabella of Viseu, who married Fernando II, Duke of Braganza and was the mother of Jaime, Duke of Braganza and Dinis of Portugal.

Isabella and Infante John had four children:

  • Infanta Phillipa of Portugal (1432-1444), Lady of Almada

Isabella died sometime in 1476 at the age of 62, she is now ancestor of monarchs of many countries.
