In European elections, Italian Islands is a constituency of the European Parliament. It consists of the regions of Sardinia and Sicily.

As the other Italian constituencies, it has only a procedural goal to choose the elected MEPs inside party lists, the distribution of seats between different parties being calculated at national level (called Collegio Unico Nazionale, National Single Constituency).

Usually, elected MEPs of this constituency comes from Sicily only, leaving Sardinia without representatives, as it happened from 2004 to 2009. This fact is the effect of the different population of the two islands. The confrontation with Malta, which has 5 European representatives even if it has less than a forth of the inhabitants of Sardinia, was used as argument by observers and politicians disputing the democratic characteristics of European elections.
