Jaden Christopher Syre Smith (born July 8, 1998) is an American actor and dancer who is the son of actor/rapper Will Smith and actress/singer Jada Pinkett Smith.

Smith made his film debut in the 2006 movie The Pursuit of Happyness as Christopher, the son of Will Smith's character, Chris Gardner.[1] At the 79th Academy Awards, Jaden presented the awards for the Best Animated Short and the Best Live Action Short with acting nominee Abigail Breslin. Smith won the award for the Best Breakthrough Performance at the 2007 MTV Movie Awards. Jaden can be seen in Alicia Keys' video for the single 'Superwoman', along with his mother.
Smith appeared in the 2008 Keanu Reeves remake of the 1951 classc sci-fi movie, The Day the Earth Stood Still[1], starring as Jacob.
In 2008 it was announced that Will Smith had arranged for his son to play the Karate Kid in the remake of the 1984 film[2], his father Will Smith is expected to produce the film.[3] His mother, Jada Pinkett Smith, was to appear as his on-screen mother in the film, but that role went to Taraji P. Henson.
He along with his sister, Willow, are youth ambassadors for Project Zambia in conjunction with the Hasbro corporation-which helps children orphaned by AIDS in Africa.[4]
He is the brother of Willow Smith and half-brother of Trey Smith. Jaden, along with his younger sister Willow, are homeschooled.[5]
