James Maxime DuPont was a renowned collector of meteors.

Born : April 7th 1912 at 11:45 PM on 82 Balgreen Road Edinburgh Scotland to the parents : Jean Rene Claudius Dupont (Analytical chemist) and Rachel Marie Marguerite Dupont MS Grandguillot

who were Married 1908 June 27 La_Rivière-Saint-Sauveur Saint-Sauveur / La Riviere France.

[1] He also founded a industrial thermoplastics company.[2] He had the largest private collection of meteors in the world at the time of his death, and they were donated to Planetary_Studies_Foundation. This impressive collection had 1,719 individual meteorites, with a total mass over 500 kilograms. [3] The Planetary_Studies_Foundation then donated them the Field_Museum_of_Natural_History, the combined collection had more than 1,700 meteors and a estimated value of $3 million.[4]
