James Robert Bruce Ogilvy (born 29 February 1964) is the elder child and only son of the late Sir Angus Ogilvy and Princess Alexandra, The Honourable Lady Ogilvy. He was born in Thatched House Lodge, Richmond Park, Surrey. Currently, he is 35th in the line of succession to the British throne.
His maternal grandparents were Prince George, Duke of Kent, the fourth son of King George V of the United Kingdom and Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark, known after her marriage as Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent. Princess Marina was the daughter of Prince Nicholas of Greece and Grand Duchess Helen Vladimirovna of Russia (later known as Princess Nicholas of Greece). He has a younger sister, Marina Ogilvy.

In addition to being in line for the throne, he is in line to the Earldom of Airlie.
He is a godfather of Princess Eugenie of York, the younger daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York.
