James D. Thomas, Jr. (born November 22, 1980 in Schenectady, New York) is an American professional basketball player who formerly played for the Philadelphia 76ers of the NBA. A 6'8" forward from the University of Texas at Austin, Thomas spent the 2004-05 NBA season with the Portland Trail Blazers and Atlanta Hawks. He was signed by the Chicago Bulls on January 27, 2006. Thomas was the recipient of the 2004-05 NBA Development League Rookie of the Year.[1][2]
