During the 1990s Paul had reccuring roles on such shows as Legend and Home Improvement. In 1999 he co-starred with Jay Mohr in Action as screenwriter Adam Rafkin. From 2004-2009 he appeared on 6 episodes of Monk as Kevin Dorfman, Monk's neighbor. Films he has appeared in include 40 Days and 40 Nights, The Shaggy Dog and Yes Man. He is a co-writer of the upcoming John Cusack film Hot Tub Time Machine.
