Jeffrey C. Schare (born May 1963) is a homicide detective with the Cincinnati Police Department in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. He is currently one of the detectives featured on the A&E show The First 48. He is a graduate of St. Xavier High School and the University of Cincinnati.

In 2006, Schare and his partner, Detective Kurt Ballman, were awarded the Hamilton County Police Association’s Detective of the Year Award for solving the 44-year-old unsolved murder of Patrolman Donald Martin.[1][2][3] Schare and Ballman were the subjects of a chapter in the book Ohio Confidential: Sex, Scandal, Murder, and Mayhem in the Buckeye State,[4] which dealt with the murder of Patrolman Martin and their efforts in solving the case.

Schare, nicknamed "Pee Wee", is a 7th dan Black Belt in Song Moo Kwan Taekwondo, having trained in the discipline since 2007. He is a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity.
