Jennifer Marie Sipes (born December 26, 1984) is an American actress and model living in Dallas, Texas.[1]

Early life

Jennifer Marie Shakeshaft was born and raised in Monument, Colorado. She is the daughter of Kenneth Shakeshaft, an attorney, and Mary Shakeshaft, a real estate broker, the youngest of three siblings. She attended junior high school and high school at Lewis Palmer. During her junior high days, Jennifer became a member of the school forensics team where she competed in humor and poetry. She found a love for performing at a young age, participating in local stage performances such as Cinderella or The Sound of Music. Jennifer excelled in sports as well and played volleyball throughout high school. She was known as the class clown who would one day pursue the dream of acting.

Following early graduation, Jennifer attended the University of Colorado for a semester. In 2003, Jennifer transferred to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City.

Career

Jennifer moved to Dallas, Texas in late 2004 after training in New York City at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. She quickly found work in all areas of the entertainment industry. Some of her commercial success included national ads for T.G.I. Friday's, Joe's Crab Shack, Nokia, and Pepsi Ring-tones. In 2006, Jennifer was cast as Crystal Martin, a small town waitress, on the sequel projects Walking Tall: The Payback[2] and Walking Tall: Lone Justice[3] with Sony Pictures. Following their release, Jennifer worked on such independent features as Karma Police [4] an official selection of the AFI Dallas Film Festival and the upcoming horror film, From the Dark [5] playing Brie.

During that time, she contributed her vocal skills to Cartoon Networks series Shin Chan playing Suki and Ghost Hunt playing Keiko. Shortly after, Jennifer began work alongside Fred Ward and Lea Thompson in Exit Speed[6] and Tennessee Williams' long lost screenplay, The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond[7] starring Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Evans. In early 2007, Jennifer became the co-host of GameStop TV,[8] a monthly in-store video airing in GameStop locations across the United States. The exact date of her departure is unknown but on October 2nd, 2009 on her Twitter account she posted, "Farewell GameStop, it's been fun!".

In the summer of 2008, Jennifer began work on the feature film W.[9] directed by Oliver Stone playing the roll of Susie Evans a friend of President George Bush. Within the same month, Jennifer also began acting for director Terrence Malick in the feature film The Tree of Life playing the ex-girlfriend of Sean Penn. During this same time, Jennifer landed a regional casting search for the number one rated daytime soap, The Young and the Restless. Jennifer filmed two episodes as the character Beatrice airing December 12th and 16th, 2008.[10]

Jennifer most recently signed on to shoot the independent film Roslyn, an adventure/drama playing sorority leader, Emily. Beginning in the fall of 2008, Jennifer began filming an independent feature titled Code Enforcer[11] shooting this fall with Erin Moran from Happy Days.
