Jensen Atwood (born August 25, 1976) is an American actor who was raised and currently resides in South Central, Los Angeles. He has two younger sisters and two older brothers. He studied acting both at California State University, Long Beach and Playhouse West in Los Angeles.

He is currently best known for his role in Noah's Arc as Wade Robinson. Noah's Arc is the first TV series featuring black gay men as main characters. In interviews, Atwood says that playing Wade was his most challenging role. Prior to joining the cast of Noah's Arc, Atwood played Johnny Taylor, opposite Halle Berry, in Oprah Winfrey Presents Their Eyes Were Watching God.

Atwood appeared in many music videos, including videos by Destiny's Child ("Soldier"), Toni Braxton, Ashanti, Lil Mo ("Supawoman Part II"), Heather Headley ("I Wish I Wasn't"), Ife ("Aim To Please") and Chanté Moore & Kenny Lattimore ("You Don't Have To Cry") and sang backup for Tyrese. He was on the cover of Krave Magazine as well.

Jensen Atwood has spoken out against homophobia within the African-American community and explains the importance of versatility as well as acceptance in the acting industry. He is heterosexual, but is an avid supporter of LGBT rights and causes.
