Jery Sandoval Sanabria (born December 18, 1986, in Barranquilla, Colombia) is an actress, model and singer. In Colombia, she is remembered by her role of María Reyes in Los Reyes, a Colombian version of an Argentinian telenovela called Los Roldán. At the present time, she acts on a Televisa Mexican series called Código Postal as Regina Corona.

Background

Jery Sandoval, was born on December 18, 1986, in Barranquilla, Colombia and since very early age lived at Carmen de Bolivar. There she studied at a Catholic school in where her first humanistic formation was given. Her artistic history began to the 12 years of age; it was natural since her family had always sponsored her interest in singing and music. She began singing in her school's tuna (student orchestra). After, when she was 12 years old, became part of a group called "Notas y Colores", at Carmen de Bolivar, where it was singing voice of ballads and afroantilian music. In addition, with his cousin Luis it formed another group, with which they won the first position in a singers contest in Sincelejo. Between 14 and 16 years old, Jery traveled constantly between Barranquilla and Bogota. She knew people of music environment who asked her to record their first disc of music. She wrote several songs among them: "Te Amo", "Cómo Dejarte" and "Mi Primer Día sin Ti". In 2001, thanks to Iván Corredor Julio Navarra's agency participated in "Miss Miércoles", gained the second position. Later, she incursioned in television working in the local channel Telebarranquilla in a program called "Entre la Rubia y la Morena".

In her 16th birthday, after to have finished secondary, she and her mother went to Colombian capital to materialize Jery's dream of being singer. A day met in a recording studio Iván Ramirez, who proposed to represent her. She accepted, and just a short time later he said her to go casting for the protagonic role in th series Al Ritmo de tu Corazón, there, recorded 40 chapters. When the producers of RCN TV saw her in the series, proposed her to casting for a role in Los Reyes. For this casting displayed several roles, first like "Pilar", later like "Hilda", and soon like "Maria" which obtained. Jery was prepared with Rubén di Pietro, a month later telenovela's production started. Los Reyes became success in the Colombian television reaching 43.6% of rating (comparable level to Betty la Fea). It was translated more and more in long and debilitating recording days (two chapters/day) what caused the defection of several actors, among them Jery who, aside from the hours dedicated to the soap opera (7:00 to 22:00 either the more) had to be studying English to 4:00.

In March, 2006, she traveled to Mexico to display casting of Televisa series Código Postal, being the first Colombian actress to act in Mexican television, next to Verónica Castro. There she acted as Regina Corona until October 2006.

Singing career

In February 2007, she went to Puerto Rico to begin her musical production with White Lion Records, being his producer Elías de Léon and has traveled between Puerto Rico and Bogota. From principles of 2008 she has been in Miami finishing her musical production with Universal Records and learning English language at University of Miami.
