Biography

Frost was born in London, England [1] to an English father and a Gibraltar-born mother. Frost has 20 years experience in the field of childcare,[2] working as a nanny in the U.K and the United States, including work with families on the television series Supernanny, which is shown in 47 countries.[citation needed]

Frost's books are Supernanny: How to Get the Best from Your Children,[1] Ask Supernanny: What Every Parent Wants to Know, and Jo Frost's Confident Baby Care. Her parenting approach focuses on maintaining adult consistent authority, while creating a safe and peaceful environment in which children thrive. She introduced parents to "the naughty step",[2] a variation on the "time-out" method. She suggests solutions for behavioural issues such as adherence to bed time, meal time conduct, behaviour in public, sibling rivalry, and anger management.

In 2010, Jo is currently presenting a new show titled 'Jo Frost Extreme Parental Guidance' on Channel 4. On the 5th March 2010 Jo appeared on 'Alan Carr: Chatty Man', talking about her personal life and her new show.

Jo Frost has an official 'Twitter' page that is run by her team at 'jofrost.com' but she often adds "tweets" herself. Ending them with a simple "xJo"

Jo is a fan of Doncaster Rovers Football Club. Her favourite food is watercress soup.

Parody

In 2006, Frost was spoofed on an episode of South Park entitled "Tsst" where she is hired to control Eric Cartman, but ends up going insane and eating her faeces in a mental hospital.
