Jose "Joey" Felipe Beltran (born December 09, 1981 in Greenville, Mississippi) is a American professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter. He is currently under contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), fighting in their heavyweight division.

MMA Career

Before joining the UFC, Beltran earned wins over notable UFC veterans Houston Alexander, Sherman Pendergarst and Wes Combs.

Ultimate Fighting Championship

Joey Beltran made his UFC debut at UFC 109 against fellow UFC newcomer, Rolles Gracie. Beltran was stepping in as a last minute replacement for Gracie's original opponent, Mostapha Al-turk.[1] Beltran was victorious in round two via TKO over a visibly fatigued Gracie.

During the post fight interview, Beltran jokingly talked about dropping to the light heavyweight division by cutting out his favorite meal of burritos.
