Johan Hans Hegg is the vocalist of the melodic death metal band Amon Amarth from Sweden. Joining Amon Amarth in 1991 when its name was still Scum, Hegg has appeared on all the band's releases, except for the Scum-era demo.[1] Hegg is notable for his beard and the leather bracers he wears on stage along with his drinking horn in his belt.[citation needed]Hegg is Amon Amarth's primary lyricist, with the lyrics revolving around the Vikings and Norse mythology.
