John Alexander (November 29, 1897 – July 13, 1982) was an American stage and film actor.
Perhaps his most memorable performance was as Teddy Brewster, a lunatic who thinks he is Theodore Roosevelt. He originated the role in the 1941 Broadway production of Arsenic and Old Lace and then reprised it in the 1944 film version opposite Cary Grant. He went on to play Roosevelt in the 1950 Bob Hope comedy Fancy Pants.
