Jon Olsson is one of the world's best known freeskiers and also a alpine ski racer. He was born and raised in Sweden, but now lives in Monaco. Jon is on Head's new school free ski team[1] Head also manufacture his pro model ski which features graphics every year of its production.
One of Jon's biggest accomplishments has been his invention of several new double flips, which are two separate flips during one air. These include a D-spin 720 into a flatspin 540 (DJ Flip), a switch double rodeo 1080 (Hexo Flip), and his most famous one being a double flatspin 900 (Kangaroo Flip) which he used to win Gold in the Big Air at Winter X Games 08 and at Jon Olsson Invitational 2006.
Tanner Hall and Jon Olsson are the only people to hit Chad's Gap switch. Jon landed a switch 5 and attempted two switch misty 900s.
Some of Jon's sponsors include Head, POC helmets, Red Bull, YNIQ, Swix, Kombi, Cross and Tyrolia.
Jon documents his competitions on his videoblog[2]

He holds nine Winter X-Games medals. For the last three years he has run his own competition the Jon Olsson Invitational held in Åre, Sweden. He has also won many other events including Big Air at Winter X-Games 08[3], The US Free Skiing Open in Vail, The Red Bull Big Air in Åre, Scandinavian Big Mountain Championships in Riksgränsen and the World Superpipe Championships in Whistler BC. He also started a new competition last year in replace of the Jon Olsson Invitational, which is the Jon Olsson Super Sessions. Instead of the invitational format of one day, one large big air jump, the super sessions consisted of five different type of jumps over a seven-day period. A highly selected list of only 8 skiers traveled to Åre, Sweden with a filmer and a photographer. The challenge was to make the best 5-minute-long film and photo slide show in only a week time.
Jon has a love of cars[4] and often promises, if he wins an event, will use prize money to purchase a new one. Probably his most famous car is his Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 a Lamborghini Murcielago fitted with a custom ski rack/box and with a flat black paint job[5].
