Jonathan Jacob Walker (born September 17th, 1985 in Bartlett, Illinois) is an American rock musician and former bassist of Panic! At the Disco. Walker is now the lead guitarist and occasional lead vocalist of the The Young Veins along with former Panic! member, Ryan Ross.
Walker joined Panic in May 2006, replacing former bassist Brent Wilson.[1] He had met the members of Panic while working as a guitar technician for another band, The Academy Is...,[2] and joined Panic after Wilson failed to show for a concert;[3] at the time he joined, he was (at age 21) the oldest of the band members.[3] Walker was with Panic in 2006 when they won the video of the year award at the MTV Video Music Awards for their song I Write Sins Not Tragedies, but he had not participated in making the award-winning video. He released one studio album with the band, Pretty. Odd., and one live album, Live In Chicago. Prior to joining Panic, he was also in a Chicago-area band, 504 Plan (5o4plan). In 2009, he and fellow band member Ryan Ross left Panic and formed another band, The Young Veins.[4][5]
