Joris Jarsky (aka Joris Jorsky) (born December 3, 1974, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian stage, film and television actor who has received recognition for being a versatile actor,[1] and is remembered for his role as Marty Strickland in the cult series Vampire High.[2]

Background

Jarsky became became Ontario Gymnastics Champion at the age of 14.[3] He attended the Etobicoke School of the Arts,[4] and the National Theatre School of Canada.[1]

After graduating the National Theatre Scool in 1999, he was cast in the play The Awakening and received a Dora Award nomination for 'Outstanding Performance by a Male'.[4]

Film & television

In 2008 three different films in which he appeared, Toronto Stories, The Green Door, and Blindness all screened at the 2008 Toronto International Film Festival.[4] He had lead roles in Toronto Stories and The Green Door.[2]
