Joseph Blair (born June 12, 1974) is an American professional basketball player. At 2.08 m (6 ft 10 in) in height and he weighs 120 kg (265 pounds), he plays as a forward-center. Well known for his spectacular style of play among other things, Blair has been a member of the Harlem Globetrotters.

Pro career

After being drafted 35th overall by the Seattle SuperSonics in the 1996 NBA Draft, he has made a successful career of international play, spending 10 seasons in Europe, including stops in France, Italy, Turkey, Greece, and Russia. He never played in the NBA, although he participated in a Chicago Bulls preseason game in 2007. His performances in the Euroleague earned him a spot in the All-Euroleague Second team for the Euroleague 2001-02 season, while he was playing with Scavolini Pesaro. He also won the Euroleague 2002-03 season MVP award, while playing with Fenerbahçe Ülker.

On October 30, 2008, in a Russia Cup quarterfinal game between Spartak Saint Petersburg and Lokomotiv Rostov, Blair started an on-court brawl which led to the ejection of 16 players.[1] When play resumed, it was a 4-on-4 match, before ultimately becoming a 3-on-3 match.[1][2] Strangely, Blair was not ejected.[1]
