Conceived by the Department of Military Industry of the Armenian Defense Department, the K-3 was produced with iron sights, but with the possibly of mounting a 4x scope, similar to to the PSO-1.
Due to the position of its ejection port, the K-3 can only be fired right-handed.
The muzzle of the barrel has an attachment for shooting rifle grenades. The majority of the weapons parts are made of hard nylon plastic, including a 30rd magazine based on the Kalashnikov design.
