KIT Digital (NASDAQ: KITD) is a global provider of on-demand, Internet Protocol (IP)-based video asset management solutions.[1][2] The company is headquartered in Prague, and maintains principal offices in Atlanta, Cairo, Cologne, Dubai, Melbourne, London, New York, Stockholm and Toronto. KIT Digital (previously known as ROO Group) changed its name in 2008 after financial restructuring of the company.[3] KIT digital was listed on the NASDAQ Global Market in August 2009 under the ticker "KITD".

VX-one

KIT VX-one,[4] the company's software platform, enables its clients to acquire, manage and distribute video assets across the personal computer,[5] mobile device,[6] and IPTV-enabled television set.[7] The application of VX-one ranges from commercial video distribution to internal corporate deployments, including corporate communications,[8] human resources, training, security and surveillance.

Customers

KIT Digital's clients include Google, the Associated Press,[9] K-mart, Verizon, Best Buy, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Disney-ABC, Fedex, General Motors, Hewlett-Packard, Home Depot, IMG Worldwide, Intel, Telefonica, The U.S. Department of Defense, and Vodafone.

The Company's largest media clients include The New York Post,[10] The Sun, Channel 10 in Australia,[11] Citadel Broadcasting Corporation[12] and others.

Acquisitions

KIT Digital has acquired a number of players in the IP video industry including Narrowstep[13], Visual Connection[14], Kamera[15], Morpheum[16], Nunet[17] the FeedRoom[18][19] and Multicast Media [20][21].Recent 2010 acquisitions include Singapore based Benchmark Broadcast Systems , Accela Communications, Megahertz Broadcast Systems and one of Europe’s leading providers of traditional and next-generation digital video asset management solution, Brickbox Digital Media
