KJOJ (880 AM) is a radio station serving Houston, Texas. At least some of the programming is Indian Music, with Bollywood tunes and Hindi language commentary. It is currently under ownership of Liberman Broadcasting.

History

KJOJ started out as a simulcast of KJOJ-FM's Christian format in the 1990s. In 1998 it moved its studio located in the Woodlands to the Clear Channel studios in Houston. Then in 2005, Both KJOJ AM and FM stations merged with KTJM and changed formats to "La Raza Radio" upon sale to Liberman Broadcasting. In April 2007, Liberman changed KJOJ-AM's format to Indian music. The last General Manager of KJOJ during its religious format and before its move into Houston was Kathy Watson and last Program Director was Gary Johnson.
