KKJG is a commercial radio station located in San Luis Obispo, California, broadcasting on 98.1 FM. KKJG airs a country music format branded as "K-Jug".

KKJG is consistently one of the top rated stations since its inception in 1992. It has also been voted 'Best Radio Station in San Luis Obispo County' by the New Times, a local weekly publication.

K-JUG was the first music station in the market to stream online. [1]

Regular programming

Their shows include the Jug Country Morning Show. It is hosted by Tom Keffury. Keffury is a long time San Luis Obispo County resident, and came to K-JUG in October 2005. In the 1990s, Keffury was a morrning disc jockey on the local KDDB.

The disc jockey in the afternoons is Pepper Daniels. He is also the station's Program Director as well as the cluster's Director of Programming.


According to Arbitron, the leading method of calculating ratings of radio listenership, KKJG (K-JUG) is the #1 radio rtation in the San Luis Obispo market. In addition, The Jug Country Morning Show, hosted by Tom Keffury was rated #1 in its target demographic, women ages 25-54 (Rating and Cume)
