KPLX, branded as 99.5 The Wolf, is a country music radio station transmitting on 99.5 FM, serving the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex in Texas. The station first started out with a Middle-of-the-Road music format in 1974, then it was changed to a country station in 1980. They have been The Wolf since July 24, 1998. The station signed on in the 1960's and changed to KPLX or "K-Plex 99.5" in 1979. Owners Standard Communications who also owned KBLX Berkeley California and KSLX Phoenix along with KFLX Flagstaff later sold to Susquehenna Dallas. Its transmitter is located in Cedar Hill, Texas. KPLX has won numerous awards, including nods from the CMA, ACM, RAB Marconi Awards, Billboard/R&R and Radio Music Awards.

The current lineup (as of August 2009) Starting out the day on the morning drive is The Wake Up With The Wolf Show with Paul Koffy, Lisa Taylor and Chris Sommers. Next is Smokey Rivers on middays. Mark Phillips and Ryan Fox with traffic hold down the afternoon drive. Wrapping up the day is CMT Radio Live with Cody Alan, and Michelle Rodriguez on overnights.
