KRCK-FM is a commercial Top 40 music radio station in Mecca, California, broadcasting to the Palm Springs, California area on 97.7 FM. Briefly had the nickname "Hot 97" until last year (2007) when the station adapted a new jingle to simply have the call signs "97.7...K,R,C,K. The Music station". First went on the air in June 2002, KRCK was nicknamed "K-Rock" under a Hard Rock format, but was ordered to drop the use of the slogan due to a possible copyright infringement with KROQ of Los Angeles. Its' transmitter is 95.5 MHz for the Morongo Basin area.
