KWFS (branded as NewsTalk 1290) is a radio station serving the Wichita Falls area with a news/talk radio format. It broadcasts on AM frequency 1290 kHz and is under ownership of Gap Broadcasting.

Programming on NewsTalk 1290 includes Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin and local high school sports

Local programming includes Joe Tom White's "Rise and Shine Show", which airs weekdays from 0600-0800. The show is co-hosted by Mike Campbell and Mike Hendren. Rise and Shine launched on KWFS-AM in 1993. Joe Tom White has been a radio personality in Wichita Falls since 1959, beginning his career at KWFT-AM 620. Mike Campbell has co-hosted since the shows inception. Hendren joined the show in 2002. It is now the longest-running locally produced daily program on air in Wichita Falls. 1290 is the oldest, continuously broadcasting radio station in the city, having been on-air since 1940.
