Kang Hye-jeong (born January 4, 1982) is a South Korean actress.
Kang first made her debut as a magazine model while in her first year of high school, and in the late 1990s she appeared in small roles in TV dramas and sitcoms while studying as a performing arts major at the Seoul Institute of the Arts. She gained notice in the arthouse film Nabi, but had her breakout role as Mido in the critically acclaimed and commercially successful Oldboy. After numerous awards for Rules of Dating and Welcome to Dongmakgol, she is now recognized as one of the best young actresses in the Korean film industry, and continues to pick risky and quirky characters to play.
She dated Love Phobia costar Jo Seung-woo for three years; the high-profile couple broke up in 2007. Kang wed Tablo of Korean hip-hop group Epik High in October 2009. The couple are expecting their first child in the middle of 2010.
