Kanjurmarg is the name of a railway station on the Mumbai suburban railway on the Central Railway line. It is a small suburb on the shores of the Thane creek. Kanjurmarg station is the access point for IIT Bombay, KV POWAI, NITIE, Hiranandani Gardens, and other locations in Powai. The station was built in 1968 and named after the local Kanjur village.The International and domestic airport would be 30 mins to 40 mins by taxi, auto rickshaw from the station and would take 45 mins to reach Victoria Terminus/CST via slow train.

As of April 2009 there is one best bus route plying between "RCF Colony, Bhandup East" to "Agarkar Chowk - Andheri Station East", which runs through Kanjurmarg East. Route no. is 445Ltd. Frequency is 20 - 30 min. This bus roughly takes the following route starting from RCF Colony Bhandup East - Bhandup Phatak (closed railway crossing)- Bhandup Station East - Datar Colony - Kanjurmarg East(State Bank of India) - Gandhinagar Junction at LBS Road - Powai IIT - L & T - Andheri MIDC / SEEPZ road - Andheri Station East.
