Karl Ravech (born January 19, 1965), was born and raised in Needham, Massachusetts.



Education and career

He attended and graduated from Needham High School. A graduate of Ithaca College in 1987, he previously was affiliated with local stations WHTM in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and WBNG in Binghamton, New York. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Ithaca College in 1987. He also received a Master's Degree in Management and Leadership from Binghamton University in 1990.



He is now an American journalist who has worked for ESPN since 1993. Ravech appears primarily on SportsCenter and Baseball Tonight.

He also appears as the Baseball Tonight host in the 2K Sports video game, Major League Baseball 2K5.

On the May 23rd edition of Baseball Tonight, Ravech used profanity during a live broadcast to describe a scoring spree taking place in a Mariners-Giants game that night.

Ravech primarily worked as an anchor for "baseball tonight".


He lives in Avon, CT.

He suffered a heart attack in November 1998.[1]
