Katherine Fugate (born July 14, 1965) is an American film and television writer and producer. She is the creator of the TV series, Army Wives.[1]

She was elected to the Board of Directors of the Writers Guild of America, West. Sept, 2008. Voted one of Variety's Women of Impact, 2008.

She graduated with a B.A. in Theatre Arts from University of California, Riverside. Fugate and her aunt, Barbara Eden, are direct descendants of Benjamin Franklin. Her cousin was the late Matthew Ansara.

Fugate has one child, daughter Madeleine Barbara Fugate (born December 11, 2006).
